Fiddler on the Roof Jr.

Show Dates: Junior Theatre Festival, January 2020

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to marry off his daughters and instill in them a sense of tradition in the face of growing anti-Semitism in Czarist Russia.

“In January 2019 Florida Rep Education attended the Junior Theatre Festival for the first time in history with 30 students ages 8-18 from the Southwest Florida area. Florida Rep Education performed a 15 minute cut of Mary Poppins Jr. and was awarded the Freddie G. Excellence in Dance award. The Junior Theatre Festival is the largest musical theatre celebration in the world with over 6,000 attendees from all over the globe! In January 2020 Florida Rep Education will return to the Junior Theatre Festival with a 15-minute cut Fiddler on the Roof Jr. which will highlight and enhance Florida Rep Education student’s storytelling, vocal, and dance talents! “
