FORT MYERS, FL – Get ready to move, groove, and dance your heart out! Florida Repertory Theatre is thrilled to announce our upcoming Musical Theatre Dance Master Class, a fun-filled and high-energy dance workshop designed for young performers aged 8 to 14. This exciting event will take place on Monday, March 17th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Florida Rep’s Bunch Rehearsal Hall.
Led by the talented Megan Leonard, this master class will immerse students in the fundamentals of musical theatre dance, helping them refine their technique, build confidence, and enhance their stage presence. The class consists of two engaging sessions:
Session 1: Tap Dance (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM)Dancers will be introduced to basic tap skills, learning about rhythm, tempo, and counting. No tap shoes? No problem! Closed-toed shoes are perfectly acceptable.
Session 2: Musical Theatre Jazz Dance (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM)Students will develop their performance skills and expand their jazz dance technique. Participants should wear closed-toe sneakers or jazz shoes for this session.
